You’ve likely heard that Feldenkrais is about “no effort,” but there is a common misunderstanding here. Indeed, improving movement is about reducing effort—but reducing effort is an active process that requires a great deal of concentration, sensitivity, and creativity.
In this workshop, I am taking you away from the “no effort” misunderstanding and towards a much deeper understanding. I am taking you to visit new places.

Taking the Method Further
Stretching is a natural, fundamental need of the human body; our tissues and joints crave that expansion to stay healthy, resilient, and comfortable.
Neurologically speaking, it is well known that security and safety are the key factors in improving flexibility. This is exactly where the Feldenkrais Method excels: by teaching the nervous system that it is safe to let go, we unlock a level of movement that forced effort can never reach.
Through the lessons in this workshop, we are stretching the Method further. We are taking the core principles of Feldenkrais and moving them into new directions—challenging the limits to find where effort and intelligence meet.
Is this for you?
This course is open to everyone, of all ages and physical conditions. It is specifically designed for:
- The Dedicated Practitioner: You practice Yoga, Taiji, Qigong, or similar arts and want to find a deeper neurological “edge” to your movements.
- The Curious Mind: You want to develop your understanding of the Feldenkrais Method® by exploring its outer boundaries.
- The Recovering Mover: You are looking to regain a better quality of movement after a recent or long-standing injury.
- The Skeptic: You usually find stretching painful or boring and are ready for a smarter, more energetic approach.
You will find the tools here to enrich your existing practice or simply to gain energy and physical ease for your daily life.

Each session includes:
- ATM Lesson: A guided Awareness Through Movement® sequence.
- Anatomy Explanation: Understanding the structure of your tissues and joints.
- Application to Stretching: Integrating Feldenkrais principles into functional stretching.
