The practitioner listens rather than assumes, senses rather than imposes, and adapts rather than follows a predetermined agenda.<\/p>\n

The receiver is not simply invited to switch off and surrender.<\/p>\n

What Is Mature Touch?<\/h2>\n

Mature touch is not simply about how<\/em> we touch.<\/p>\n

It is about who we are when we touch<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It asks us to become aware of our intentions, expectations, impulses, and boundaries \u2014 and to meet another person without trying to possess, fix, control, please, or change them.<\/p>\n

It is touch that can be:<\/p>\n

  • sensitive without being intrusive<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • intimate without losing boundaries<\/strong><\/li>\n
