Start supporting them.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our knees are among the largest joints in the body, yet they have primarily one degree of freedom: flexion and extension. This gives them strength and stability\u2014but also means that what doesn&#8217;t move, adapt, or \u201cturn\u201d well above or below the knee can create additional stress.<\/p>\n<p>The knee doesn&#8217;t work alone.<\/p>\n<p>Our <strong>feet, knees, pelvis, and spine<\/strong> continuously interact to distribute forces, maintain balance, and create fluidity in movement. When this organization becomes less efficient, the knee may end up compensating for what isn&#8217;t happening elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p>So instead of asking only:<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cWhat&#8217;s wrong with my knee?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>we can ask:<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cHow is my whole body organizing itself around my knee?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>This is where a richer process of learning and research begins.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"western\"><strong>Triangle: Foot \u00b7 Knee \u00b7 Pelvis<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In this workshop, we look closely at the relationship between these three areas through <strong>Feldenkrais-inspired movement, Functional Integration\u00ae hands-on work, and strengthening<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The foot connects us to the ground.<br \/>\nThe pelvis connects the legs to the rest of the body.<br \/>\nThe knee provides stability and transmits forces between them.<\/p>\n<p>We investigate how these relationships influence the way we stand, walk, bend, turn, and bear weight.<\/p>\n<p>Rather than trying to \u201cfix\u201d the knee, we learn how to give it <strong>more support, integrate it into our whole organization, and reduce unnecessary work<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The aim is not simply greater mobility or strength, but a more intelligent relationship between <strong>mobility, stability, and coordination<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"western\"><strong>Course Content<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Awareness Through Movement<\/strong> provides the first layer: <strong>sensing relationships, recognizing our neuro-somatic patterns, re-aligning, and discovering new alternatives.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We then bring these discoveries into more dynamic and functional work, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Foot, knee, and pelvic coordination<\/li>\n<li>Weight-bearing and distribution of forces<\/li>\n<li>Functional movement and strengthening<\/li>\n<li>Identifying and changing habitual patterns<\/li>\n<li>Massage and practical self-care<\/li>\n<li>Integrating new possibilities into everyday movement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The emphasis is not on adding more effort, but on discovering <strong>where effort is necessary, where it is not, and how the whole system can participate more efficiently.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"western\"><strong>Choose Your Format<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"western\"><strong>A \u00b7 ONLINE SERIES<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Six guided sessions exploring the foot\u2013knee\u2013pelvis relationship from home.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>6 sessions<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Fridays at <strong>19:30<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>First session: <strong>October 30<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>520 RMB<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Replays will be available online after each session<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"western\"><strong>B \u00b7 IN-PERSON WORKSHOP<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>A full day of movement research combining <strong>Awareness Through Movement, Functional Integration\u00ae, functional movement, hands-on work, and strengthening<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In this in-person workshop, we move from group work into <strong>one-to-one Functional Integration\u00ae<\/strong>, allowing the discoveries from Awareness Through Movement to become more individualized and specific.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dali \u00b7 near the Old Town<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>November 7<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>09:00\u201312:00 &amp; 14:00\u201317:00<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>750 RMB<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"western\"><strong>C \u00b7 COMBO<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Continue the learning between home and in-person practice.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>6 online sessions<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>1 full-day in-person workshop<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>950 RMB<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An In-Depth Workshop Align \u00b7 Strengthen \u00b7 Thrive Stop begging your knees.
